Frequently Asked Questions - 2027 Cohort

Absolutely - RMDY Academy is 100% online!

Upon graduation, you will receive a signed certificate as an Advanced Practitioner of Homeopathy at your Graduation or via post.

Once you graduate, you will be a certified and qualified Homeopathic Practitioner.

Please note that regulations surrounding homeopathic practice vary across countries and states and are subject to change. It is the sole responsibility of prospective students to research the specific regulations in their intended area of practice.

We are proud that RMDY Academy is accredited by the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT). RMDY are also continuously working toward gaining accreditation with other homeopathic and complementary medicine associations worldwide. This accreditation allows graduates to apply for professional membership and access practitioner insurance, equipping them to practice homeopathy internationally with confidence.

Our Academy's built on a competency-based learning model, moving beyond traditional teaching to ensure you not only grasp the theoretical foundations of homeopathy but also develop the practical skills needed for real-world application. Over two years, this program is designed to produce highly skilled homeopaths who are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to establish and sustain a successful practice.

The academy commences in September 2027, with completion expected September 2029. A course calendar will be provided on our website over the coming months.

Throughout the two-year program, students will engage in weekly quizzes and activities, as well as working on their portfolio showcasing 10 case studies.

Mentorship: To develop hands-on experience, students are required to seek mentorship from a RMDY Approved Qualified Homeopath to sign off on their prescriptions. This mentorship includes supervision for 10 initial case takings and 2 x follow-up appointments per case. Students have the flexibility to choose their own mentor (subject to RMDY Academy approval), or they can select one from RMDY Academy’s Directory of Mentors. Mentorship fees are determined privately between the student and the mentor, as this arrangement is independent of RMDY Academy.

Live Sessions & Study Groups

  • 2 x Weekly Live Drop-In Sessions - Available twice per week for additional support - optional. These are recorded and available as a bonus session.
  • Study Groups – Students will be part of a study group for peer support, collaboration, and deeper learning. These connections are invaluable for both academic success and long-term professional growth.
  • Live Tutorials with Professional Tutors– Conducted three times per trimester, approx. 1 per month, within your study group.

This framework ensures a well-rounded learning experience, combining independent study, mentorship, and a strong support network to set you up for success in homeopathic practice.

The RMDY Academy program is a comprehensive two-year course, structured into six trimesters, each lasting 14 weeks, with breaks in between. Throughout the program, students are required to attend three recommended tutorials per trimester— approximately one per month — providing consistent support and guidance. This structured approach ensures that students can effectively balance their learning while maintaining steady progress.

The RMDY Academy program is designed to be completed on a part-time basis, offering flexibility to accommodate work, family, and other commitments. Students are expected to dedicate approximately 10 hours per week to their studies in order to progress successfully through the program.

Lectures are released weekly on Mondays via our online learning portal, allowing students to engage with the content at their own pace throughout the week.

In addition, we host multiple live drop-in sessions each week with our tutors, where students can ask questions, seek guidance, and deepen their understanding of the material. These sessions are optional but encouraged for extra learning.

Students are also invited to attend three structured tutorials per trimester, where key concepts are reinforced and clinic preparation is supported. While not mandatory, attendance at these tutorials is strongly recommended for optimal learning and integration.

Please note: During the case taking and clinical practice phase, the workload increases. Students should expect some weeks to require additional time to complete case work, submit prescriptions, and engage with mentor feedback.

Anatomy and Physiology is expected to add approximately 1 hour to your weekly time commitment for the first year, or from purchase. Approximately 52 hours in total.

Mentorship Program

To gain hands-on experience, students are required to seek mentorship from an RMDY Approved Qualified Homeopath to review and sign off on their prescriptions. This mentorship includes supervision of 10 initial case-takings and two follow-up appointments per case. Students have the flexibility to choose their own mentor (subject to RMDY Academy approval) or select one from the RMDY Academy’s Directory of Mentors once available. Mentorship fees are determined privately between the student and the mentor, as this arrangement is independent of RMDY Academy. On average, RMDY Mentors charge around $50 per client portfolio (approximately $500 AUD) for guidance. Some mentors offer their time voluntarily, aiming to assist as many students as possible, while more experienced mentors may charge between $100 and $150 per portfolio (approximately $1,000 - $1,500 AUD) for a more in-depth mentorship experience. Each client portfolio consists of one initial case-taking and two follow-up consultations, resulting in a total of 30 consultations across all 10 required portfolios. Additional details about the Mentorship Program will be available soon.

Radar Opus

Students are strongly encouraged to invest in the Radar Opus package, available at a discounted rate. This powerful tool significantly enhances the learning experience by providing a comprehensive and efficient approach to case analysis and repertorisation.

While it is possible to complete the program using Materia Medicas, repertories, and free online homeopathic software, these alternatives are far less comprehensive than Radar Opus. Additionally, RMDY Academy provides a list of recommended readings and supplementary materials, which students may choose to purchase at their discretion.

Anatomy & Physiology Course

A full, comprehensive Anatomy and Physiology course is available within the Academy and is included in your course fees. You will be able to gain access to this course once you are enrolled in the Practitioner course.

It is one which both Melissa and Peter personally participated in and highly recommend. This course provides the foundational biomedical knowledge required for practice and is recognised by professional associations.

Student Insurance

In your second year of study when you start your client cases and mentoring, you will need to purchase student insurance. The cost of this is roughly $100-$200 AUD per year.

Students are strongly encouraged to consider investing in the Radar Opus package, which is available at a discounted student rate. This powerful tool significantly enhances the learning experience by providing a comprehensive and efficient approach to case analysis and repertorisation.

Radar Opus will be discussed in detail during Trimester 1. Students should not purchase, download or arrange anything before this discussion. The Academy will provide clear guidance regarding the recommended package, student pricing and the appropriate time to purchase.

While it is possible to complete the program using Materia Medicas, repertories and free online homeopathic software, these alternatives are generally far less comprehensive than Radar Opus. RMDY Academy also provides a list of recommended readings and supplementary materials, which students may choose to purchase at their discretion.

Students will need access to a computer or laptop with an internet browser, which will be sufficient for most course activities. Radar Opus is compatible with both Mac and PC systems.

During the monthly mandatory tutorials, students will be expected to participate using a camera- and microphone-enabled device. This may include joining Zoom from a computer, laptop, tablet or phone.
